Welcome
to 2010
The
students returned to Our Lady Help Of Christians on
Thursday 29th January. They were welcomed by their excited
teachers. Fr Sarkis visited every classroom welcoming back
all students and learnt what they did in the holidays. A
special welcome back from Fr Sarkis was extended to
parents. This was sent home via the students. Mrs Petzer
also visited classrooms, delighted to see so many happy and
excited faces.
First Day of 2010 Assembly
The
assembly started with the School Captains leading the
school community in prayer.
This was followed by the National Anthem and Flag raising.
The school community also welcomed four new teachers to
OLHC.
They are: Mrs Anne Rowles, Miss Kylie Seymour, Mrs Kathryn
Hampton and Mrs Bronwyn Cruickshank. Mrs Makdessi was
welcomed, returning after maternity leave.

Finally we would like to say thank you to all the parents,
family members and friends who joined us for our first flag
raising assembly for 2010. Your attendance added such a
lovely atmosphere of excitement, enthusiasm and community.
First
Day of 2010 for Kindergarten
The children had a lot of fun and were keen to go home and
have a big rest before returning on
Monday.
